Biography
Niki Papavramidou is currently an Professor of History of Medicine and Director of the Museum for the History of Medicine at the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She received her PhD in 2006 and in 2008 she was elected lecturer of History of Medicine at Democritus University of Thessaloniki. In 2014, she was elected Assistant Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and in 2019, Associate Professor at the same University. She is interested in ancient medicine and its later tradition, while she has published numerous papers on the history of surgery.
